Running 1:02:12 [3] 6.1 mi (10:12 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 16

Running in the rain (well heavy mist anyway) with Sam and Presto! Just a nice easy run up to Lake Anza and back. The trails in Tilden were pleasantly muddy, so there was some excellent slipping and sliding on the hills. We also passed the first roller skier we've ever seen in Berkeley (other than ourselves). We were quite covered in mud by the end, which was extremely satisfying :-).

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching.

Running 29:51 [3] 3.1 mi (9:38 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 16

Running in the rain with Sam and Presto! Woohoo! Actual rain! Well, light rain, but hilariously enough to have a Hazardous Weather Statement. And enough that we were all pretty much soaked by the time we got home. Presto was sort of displeased but then decided that as long as we were running it was ok :-).

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Decided to skip abs and stuff tonight because I was too wet and once I'd taken a shower I was too unmotived, but I did stretch.

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! Pretty uneventful sort of run tonight, but good to get out!

Normal abs. I really need to get back into doing the glute exercises...

Hiking 3:00:00 [3] 12.5 mi (14:24 / mi) +760m 12:07 / mi
shoes: Sacony Xodus

Hiking up Mt. Lola with Sam and Presto! We headed out to Reno yesterday to canvass, and after a day of knocking on random people's doors and a night of trying to sleep while zombies roamed the streets of Reno, we were more than happy to get out into the mountains!

We decided to check out Mount Lola today, which had a surprising amount of snow. Apparently it's winter here. The trail was pretty easy to follow, which was nice, and we made pretty good time to the summit. There were awesome views over towards Castle Peak, and LOTS and LOTS of wind. We found a wind break to have lunch in, but Presto and I were still pretty cold. It took an hour or so before I could feel all my toes again. I'll try to be a bit more waterproof in the foot department next time! Definitely a good way to spend a Sunday!

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching back at home.
