Running 44:48 [3] 4.7 mi (9:32 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 16

Running with Presto around the Berkeley Marina! A really nice run on a kind of cool, cloudy day down at the Marina. There were a bunch of families out for walks and things, and it was generally very pleasant. Fun, fun!

Quick run up the hill with Sam and Presto before heading off to my aunt and uncle's for Thanksgiving! It was chilly and crisp. It felt like it could be Thanksgiving somewhere with weather :-).

Orienteering 15:00 [3] *** 2.0 km (7:30 / km)
7c shoes: Sacony Xodus

Setting controls in the pouring rain with Presto at McLaren Park!

Orienteering 27:40 [3] *** 2.4 km (11:32 / km)
19c shoes: Sacony Xodus

Sprint number 4 at McLaren Park with Presto! The rain died off by the time we got all the controls set, which made it a bit easier to see our maps, but since we were all already wet, didn't really change things much otherwise. We divided into approximate speed groups and then raced on similar courses. I think everyone else in my speed group couldn't find their first control, so I was actually alone basically the entire time, but it was super fun to get out on a map. It's been a while!

Orienteering 24:25 [3] *** 2.3 km (10:37 / km)
15c shoes: Sacony Xodus

And back out on Sprint number 1 (or maybe 3? I can't remember...an odd number anyway...)! This felt a lot smoother for me than the first one, although between yesterday and today, I was starting to get pretty tired. Graham and Steve passed me early on but then I caught back up towards the end, and we all finished within a minute or so of each other, which was pretty fun!

Orienteering 10:00 [3] *** 1.0 km (10:00 / km)
6c shoes: Sacony Xodus

And finally control pickup. Oof...I was tired. But Marie-Josee had made cookies (which were awesome!) and then we all headed to a taqueria. Yum!

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Stretching back at home. A good weekend!
