Normal stretching. The knee is definitely getting better. It's still a bit sore with twisting motions and if I bend it all the way (i.e., kneeling or squatting).

I'd already planned not to run the ultralong because of my concert today, and between my knee and my cold, this worked out well.

The knee's still hurting today, so I did a bit of stretching after my concert.

Red extended middle at Point Pinole! I debated for a while about whether I should run today or not between the cold and the knee. In the end I decided I'd just jog around the course because I needed some exercise and a day out in the sun with friends.

Once I'd decided I was just jogging, I also decided that I would avoid poison oak if at all possible, since I already have a bit of a rash from the NavX event. There was A LOT of poison oak. It's hard to even describe how much poison oak there was. So, I ended up taking a bunch of what would otherwise be considered massively sub-optimal route choices to avoid what I could. My time definitely suffered for it, but I also definitely do not regret it. The knee hurt a bit when it twisted, but otherwise was mostly ok.

Super fun course, and great to see everyone today!

Note

Hmm...my knee randomly started hurting overnight. There's pain in the back of my knee and on the side. I have some vague theories about what caused this, but it seems pretty random and arbitrary.

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! Feeling a bit tired generally, but the new shoes feel great. Presto was extremely excited to get out for a run.
