Running 44:44 [3] 5.0 mi (8:57 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 20

Running at Asilomar! Another quick after lunch run. My stomach was even more displeased this time, but it was still good to get out. Lots of fun running over the dunes. This must be a bad time for marine mammals because I haven’t seen a single seal, sea lion, or otter the entire week.

Stretching 5:00 [3]

Short stretch before bed in the hotel.

Running 49:51 [3] 5.5 mi (9:04 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 20

Running at Asilomar! Snuck out during the lunch break today. Running right after lunch definitely wasn’t ideal, but it was better than not running, so I headed on out. It was gorgeous and sunny with a nice breeze and awesome looking waves. The dunes were kind of invading the boardwalk, so the run was quite a bit more hardcore than I was expecting. Sliding down the super steep sand dunes on the boardwalk was awesomely fun!

Stretching 5:00 [3]

Short stretch before bed in the hotel.

Running 32:08 [3] 3.6 mi (8:56 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 20

Running at Asilomar! I was hoping to take Presto for a quick run before leaving for the conference yesterday, but between frantically rushing to submit some samples for sequencing/a meeting going 50% longer than scheduled/etc I barely managed to meet up with my ride. The schedule at the conference is pretty tight today, but I managed to sneak out for a quick run before breakfast. The ocean was gorgeous in the sunrise and I even ran into Darae out there, so we had a nice chatty run. Good to get out before spending the rest of the day sitting down!

Hiking 2:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (15:00 / mi) +400m 12:59 / mi
shoes: Brooks Running 19

Hiking with Sam, Holly, Bryan, and Presto at Redwood Park! We headed to Thai Sunday Brunch in the morning and then to Redwood to walk off all the food. It was great to catch up with Holly and Bryan! The trails were a bit muddy but nothing like as bad as Tilden was last weekend :-).

As soon as this was over, I had a quick snack and then headed off to my concert. Turns out I failed quite a bit at the eating part of today. My embouchure kept cramping, which made controlling pitch and volume a bit of a challenge. I guess this is how brass players feel... Still a really fun concert, though! I'm going to miss this music.
