Running 33:43 [3] 3.5 mi (9:38 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 22

Leap day run with Presto! I spent most of the day relaxing with friends and then headed out for a quick run before my concert. It's nice to spend a weekend not working :-). Presto was sort of uninspired, and I was slightly tired, but otherwise it was good to be outside!

Strength 5:00 [3]

Normal abs.

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching after my concert because I somehow ran out of time to do it before my concert...

Thursday Feb 27 #

Running 31:13 [3] 3.1 mi (10:04 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 22

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! I was feeling pretty jet lagged, but once I got outside I started feeling slightly more awake. Presto was weirdly draggy until Sam ran backwards for a bit, which for some reason makes Presto ridiculously excited.

Strength 5:00 [3]

Normal abs.

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Very sleepy normal stretching.

Wednesday Feb 26 #

Running 34:29 [3] 3.5 mi (9:51 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 22

Running with Presto! Getting back to Berkeley went quite smoothly, but I was still pretty exhausted by the time I arrived. I figured the best way to get back on CA time was to go out for a run just before sunset to inform my body that, yes, it is still light now. Presto seemed a bit more interested in snuggling on the couch and was a bit draggy on the way up the hill. It was really nice to be outside with all the flowers blooming and the sunset over Mt. Tam!

Strength 5:00 [3]

Normal abs.

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching. I then proceeded to fall asleep during orchestra rehearsal, so I clearly need a few days to get back on track :-).

Sunday Feb 23 #

Running 36:17 [3] 4.3 mi (8:26 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 22

Running in Ithaca! In a frantic attempt to switch timezones before my 8am meeting tomorrow morning, I headed out for a run this morning to check out the gorges. They are indeed quite nice, especially all covered in snow. There's this winter thing going on here. It's like there are seasons or something. I sort of forgot how to dress for running in the 20s, so I was way too warm and had to take off a layer after a little bit. Good to get out, but my body is definitely not convinced that this is a good time to be awake!

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching in the hotel.
