Biking 1:10:00 [3] 10.6 mi (6:36 / mi) +460m 5:49 / mi

Biking up Centennial Drive! Yay! What a great day! I've been sort of manically refreshing the NY Times website since Tuesday, and it was great to finally see them call the race for Biden/Harris this morning! Sam had to go to lab today, and I didn't want to celebrate alone, so I spent the morning wandering around Berkeley with Presto enjoying the celebratory atmosphere. Presto seemed somewhat unmoved by the cheering and honking and pots and pans and flags and T-rex costumes, but was excited to meet another whippet :-). Walking around was nice, but I wanted more of a workout, so after dropping Presto off at home, I headed out for a really nice bike ride. I was wearing tights and a long sleeve shirt, but I still nearly froze on the downhill. I might need to start bringing along a jacket on these rides!

Normal stretching after watching Biden and Harris's victory speeches :-).

Running 30:00 [3] 3.1 mi (9:41 / mi)

Running with Presto after not-lab! Another super slow stress-relieving run. I was pretty exhausted after 11 hours in front of the computer, including 2 hour-long presentations. Presto started poking me around 5:30pm and eventually pried me away from the computer at 7pm by vomiting next to me. Oops. He still wanted to go for a run after that because he is a dog. It was really good to get outside and not look at a screen for while!

Running with Presto after not-lab! Just trying to get out and relax for a little bit. Work today was...not very efficient. I knew the counting would take a while, but somehow I wasn't really prepared for how much it would inhibit my ability to function. Anyway, I was tired, but it was great to be outside. Presto seemed somewhat skeptical about the whole thing. I think he isn't sold on going back to standard time.

Biking 1:10:00 [3] 10.6 mi (6:36 / mi) +460m 5:49 / mi

Biking up Centennial Drive! I did some phone banking for Biden in the morning, and then headed out for a bike ride. Sadly, the air quality has dropped again, and I could definitely feel it going up the hills. The views were pretty smoggy today.

Berkeley has placed an early voting site at the Lawrence Hall of Science, so I biked past it on my way up the hill. I understand that this is probably one of the biggest venues that's available in Berkeley, and, thus, a good choice for socially distanced voting. But it is HILARIOUSLY inconvenient - perched on the side of a giant hill. Good to get out and enjoy the weekend!

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching after some bubble tea :-).
