Flight back Prestwick-Torp.

Mtn Bike 24:00 [3]

Got a massage on dodgy calf from K but didn't think I should risk running on it, but couldn't possibly stay in on such a stunning day with 17 degrees at 5pm so had a blast round Sognsvann on the Helium. Still a patch or two of snow in the sheltered bits, and the lake is still 70% covered but the folk were out with their barbecues at the south end, making it kind of surreal. Plenty of runners. Summer's coming!!

Calf was still very stiff but could walk on it much better. No chance of doing the relays but happily watched the racing in the sunshine instead. Would prefer to have been having another tilt at Culbin though.
Maroc 7th in Womens Premier (Hazel, K & Sarah)

Drive down to Kilmarnock dropping off C in Glasgow.

Orienteering race (BOC 2008 - Culbin) 1:07:53 [3]
shoes: VJ Twister

Loved it. 8 mins+ of mistakes but loved it. 90 secs at 7, another 80 at 10,and 4 mins in the green at 18 were the biggies.

Worrying calf twinges half way round but fortunately didn't get worse during the race. 8th, Dixie 1st, JR 2nd, CD 3rd and DP 9th.

Calf stiffened up badly afterwards.

T 7th, C 10th and K 2nd.

Bike on a nice morning to work

Running 25:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Trail Sensor

Up to Båntjern on beautifully clear night. All the snow and ice is off the trails and the flattened grass makes quite a change of view. Lights of Oslo looked good tonight. Båntjern still was white though.

warm up and down on top of Ekeberg.

Orienteering race (Oslo City Cup 2 - Ekeberg) 17:03 [4] 2.8 km (6:05 / km)
shoes: VJ Twister

Another blast. 30s+ error at 3 otherwise pretty good. 85 secs down in H50 - 5th/34 - that's better. Hey only 4.5 mins down on Lundanes and 2 down on Bjerkheim-Nilsen, but then again they won JWOC(s) and I'm an H50 punter. Lundanes is running 4.5 min kms and I do 6. Roll on Culbin.

T broke 9 mins/km
