Any aged runners looking for a read try The Haywire Heart. Interesting stuff, you might learn something to your benefit and also maybe understand a bit more why a fair number of our contemporaries seem to have arrhythmia issues. Happy to lend my copy once I've finished it.

Toms Cairn from home. Via Birkenhill then up the new Corsedardar extraction lanes. Basically as direct as I could make it. Back via Midstrath. Felt good.
Clearing bracken from one of the rides/paths at the west end of Ballogie with T. All done on behalf of Ballogie runners. Means that a connecting path will be possible right through the summer. I hope they appreciate it! :-). That's doubtful though as most of them probably don't venture that far off land rover tracks and more manicured paths. Still, makes it more fun for me and it was nice out there. Hopefully the roe will help keep it open too.
Toms Cairn in very late evening sun with T. Thinning of Corsedardar has improved most of the woodland but destroyed the very pleasant single track little used path that goes th eback way up to the open land.
Bottled out of guiding aspiring guide SW round Ripe Hill loop at Balmoral...neither of us keen to subject ourselves to a thorough soaking in a place that is so good in even half decent weather. Agreed to leave it for another time.
Had a rest instead.

Really nice run out on a great new, albeit very small, Maroc area at Crathie. Felt heavy but in the main the navigation was ok. Trying to use a magnifier. Seemed to help even though map was 1:5000.
Lovely Lochnagar views.
Wow. Thoroughly monsoonal at Hazlehead. 40 kids kept smiling through it all. Well impressed. With J & S.

Out the back in torrential rain. Undulating tempo up to Torqu, across to Craigmore trig, down the other side and then back up, down and home.
Felt pretty good but soaked to the skin. Second time today.
