Trail / Terrain Run 3:20:00 [3] 21.1 km (9:29 / km) +1200m 7:23 / km

Stopped off on the way south.
From St Peters Church at the foot of Martindale. Did a round of the valley starting with a steep climb up to Steel Knotts.
Very boggy across to Loadpot Hill and didnt improve to Wether Hill or on the climb to High Raise. The stonier and firmer ground made things a lot easier over Kidsty Pike , Rampsgill Head and The Knott. Dropped down and climbed back up to Rest Dodd. Decided against Plan A of including Brock Crags and Angle Tarn Crags and instead dropped into Martindale via The Nab. After a couple of k on the road finished things off with the steep climb of Hallin Fell. Cloudy all day until the last climb in lovely late afternoon sun.
Good afternoon out but shot by the end.
The OMM IN Langdale will be wet underfoot!

Toms Cairn Loop...up via Starrypool and the Corsedardar monument and back through the plantation from the cairn. Pretty manky through the muddy plantation but felt pretty good.

Note

Feeling in pretty good shape after a really excellent Run Across with a host of fun folk. Delighted to have no aches, pains or niggles of note. Happy to take a second day off though. 136k this week seems plenty enough.
