Lovely day. Couldn't not, in spite of the current litany of ailments that hopefully aren't an indication of a body completely falling apart.
Round and about on pretty skittery Craigmore tracks. Went very gently and carefully, partly because of the ice, but mainly on account of aforementioned maladies. Very pleasant it was too and restored at least a little confidence that one or two of the early years targets may not be entirely bypassed, unless of course teeth, floods, hurricanes or snow, lack of, come into play.
For the record and in order of least significance (currently) the current status is:
Frozen shoulder - now been around for about 8 months. Much better than it once was. Hopefully it'll disappear eventually. Only really painful when I fall on it or have to reach for something. Physio didn't do a whole heap.
Tight left calf - think this is referred pain and related to nagging ache in left buttock and more to do with the inordinate amount of S&C that I've been doing recently...including plenty of stuff I should have been doing anyway but wasn't. Not really a concern yet but one to watch.
Cough - gone on for 3 months in various shapes and forms. Above the neck pretty much so not of great concern and anyway the run improved it...I think. Doctor says be patient :-).
Left Achilles soreness. Not bad this morning and has improved immeasurably so fingers crossed its on the way out. A big fan of eccentric heel drops me so keep doing those and it will hopefully go away.
What else? There's probably something but I probably deserve it for heading out for about an icy hour straight off the bat but as I said I couldn't not. The first proper run since the detox 3 weeks ago was great anyway.
