Trail 22:05 [3] 5.0 km (4:25 / km) +50m 4:12 / km

Wimpole Estate Parkrun.
Cambridgeshire parkrun. Flat. No. Big hill. Steep even. Painful even. Splits hence somewhat uneven. Two parkruns in a row. Wow. Number 10 too.

Nice to run with T, D, Ch and L too although D and Ch did run 10 miles to get there.

Flat km 1, then D appeared on my shoulder, then Ch floated past, and went further away on the hill. Really toiled up the hill with D kindly keeping me company. Off the top things got much better. Lovely run down through the parkland to the lake. Caught Ch and stuck to her ankles, just. Then mistimed the sprint. Whoops and she had done 16k before...

Brilliant course. Lovely undulating parkland and with that hill.

Trail 20:00 [3]
shoes: Roclite 295

Declined Tom's Cairn jaunt with L as weary from yesterday. Sorry to but a good idea, and instead headed out the back late on for a short trundle. Wandered up pretty much to Torqu but partly through the nice open birch wood. Put a lot more effort coming back down putting the frighteners on a couple of roe.

Glen Cat then up the steep climb and round to Corybeg; back down the usual way. Very warm. Nice loop although found the hill tough.
With SW. Good chat.

Weary..but tough day at the coalface so needed out. So over the stile and up the back to Torqu. Always good therapy going up there. Then into Potties, picking up a missed reflector from the night race on the way. Came back via the community path.

Last Run Club for the 4 x S6s. So, fun relay up the hills from the Tarland Burn bridge. Celebrations and Haribos providing the incentive.
23 out today. We'll miss the 4 of them but somehow I think these ones will turn up again, maybe at some race or other.

Gentle pace but lovely lighting. Nice.
