Walk 7:26:31 [3] 25.35 km (17:37 / km) +2200m 12:17 / km
shoes: Mudclaw 300 Yellow

Five western Fannichs : Meall a'Chrasgaidh, Sgurr nan Clach Geala, Sgurr nan Each, Sgurr Breac and A'Chailleach.

With T
Big day after yesterday’s fail.

Set off from the A832 intending just the eastern three of the five but got to the bealach after Sgurr nan Each and decided that we didn't want to repeat yesterday's walk out, time was still OK, weather was good, so headed up again.

Out for 9 hours in total for the five western Fannichs with 7.5 moving time.

Great weather, although pretty blustery late on up high, with excellent visibility.
Met two people all day.
One of the best hill days. Nicely atmospheric and cracking hills.
Probably closer to 2300m of climb. Plenty enough anyway.

Walk 1:30:00 [3]
shoes: Mudclaws RED

With T
Intended the western Fannichs of A’Chailleach and Sgurr Breac but turned into a bad weather fail. Bit of wishful thinking to go for it in the first place but just hoped things would improve. Didn’t fancy the top 500m all being in cloud and drizzle though. Still very pleasant walk and sometimes jog, if somewhat damp, up and back alongside the Allt Breabaig.

Out for three hours.

Dip in the sea from the great sandy beach at Mellom Udrigle after...but it was baltic, even in a wet suit. Need to invest in boots and gloves.

Mtn Bike 1:37:00 [3] 27.47 km (3:32 / km) +249m 3:23 / km

With T
Nice loop from Marybank at foot of Strathconon. Mixed weather but plenty warm. Small stretch of main road as not allowed to cross one of the dams. Don’t think I’ve been to Achilty since BOC way back in 85...and mispunched the 2nd last control. JD planned it I remember.

Swim in a great and deep pool in River Broom just north of Corrieshalloch.

Gravel Bike 38:20 [3] 11.75 km (3:16 / km) +94m 3:08 / km

Deserving of a gentle day imo so a relaxing pootle on the mainly grit of the Home Farm / Ballogie House drive; the short stretch of tarmac before a section of wooded track to Potties; more tarmac up to the far end of the Birkenhill road; then more grit home past Shannel and Birkenhill.
Nice. Didnt feel like doing any more but legs ok after yesterday.

Road Running 1:40:52 [3] 21.2 km (4:45 / km) +193m 4:33 / km
shoes: Hoka Blue/Yellow

Decided that just in case the LM is on I better do a wee bit on the road. Hence ran the Birse and Potties loops as, what turned out to be, a bit of a time trial. Felt reasonably good but not sure I'm ready to double it...still its 12 weeks away...and probably then some...and then some...

Trail 36:00 [3] 5.1 km (7:04 / km) +131m 6:15 / km
shoes: Mudclaw 300 Yellow

With T
Stopped off on the way north to explore a small valley near Sykes close to the Trough of Bowland. Nice it was too in the sunshine although a fair few of Lancasters population were there too. Fairly gently on the undulating track. Felt good.

Bratwurst and ice cream after. Nice cycling country.

Trail 59:37 [3] 11.26 km (5:18 / km) +41m 5:12 / km
shoes: Hoka Blue/Yellow

5 x 1k / 2 mins on the Leeds and Liverpool canal through Burnley. Still had all those climbing metres in my legs but thought I’d give it a bash.

A few folk to avoid on the towpath but a good surface.
4.20, 4.16, 4.08, 4.08, 4.20 so not particularly consistent but got it done.

2k w/u and 3.5k w/d
