Smashing run round the locals. Lovely day...woods and fields, trails and trods in great nick....views not bad either. Kept off the usual beaten tracks and went where few go.
Felt better running than have done for a good while....must have been the tennis, the mowing and the digging for a warm up.

Walk 3:14:05 [3] 10.67 km (18:12 / km) +306m 15:55 / km

Wandering from Corsedardar Memorial. Via long cairn then top of Craiglash and its newly re-mown track through the heather - came upon the temporarily abandoned mowing monster - then usual track down to Murley. Still lots of snow. Then back to Memorial via Arntillyhard. Virtually every tree seemed to have had a branch or two broken off from the weight of snow.
With T. Lovely sunny afternoon.

Didn’t really plan on this much today but too nice not to get out and do something. Haven’t been up the back since the snow so interested to see if anything left. Not a lot but plenty wet.
Did the saltire run of 4x Craigmore as not feeling too bad in spite of yesterday’s long effort.
Bothered by the gout/bunion again. Need a proper diagnosis.

Hound Hillock and Sturdy Hill from the cp at top of Cairn O’Mount with JM. Tough going crossing deep snow patches and peat hags...a large part of the track being full of snow. Glad that it wasn’t particularly cold although the wind at the west end wasn’t for loitering in. Food and drink stop at the somewhat leaking and unimpressive shooting bothy helped the return journey seem to pass quicker...that and maybe a bit of tail wind. Longest run for a good while and emerged relatively unscathed.
New hills for me having never gone anywhere from the top of CoM before and maybe that will provide a bit of, probably much needed, impetus to my DR cp number count.

Gravel Bike 1:34:32 [3] 36.67 km (2:35 / km) +449m 2:26 / km
ahr:121 max:168

Corsedardar, and a shout to EM once he’d gone past the other way, to Forest of Birse then back via Shooting Greens and the longer loop from Potarch. Lovely afternoon. Roads pretty deserted but a fair bit of tree bits and water debris on them on the way up to Birse church.
Nice for the first spin on the bike this year. What a huge difference eight days makes.

Trail / Road Run 1:11:23 [3] 11.84 km (6:02 / km) +248m 5:27 / km
shoes: Mudclaws bluebackred

Glen Cat, over to Balfour, dropped down to Birse, then home via estate drive.
Managed to avoid much snow..just the bit in the open at the highest point of Balfour..and intermittently on the tracks down from there.
With SW...longest run since before Christmas I think....certainly since before calf issues arose. Didn’t feel to go at all well on the hills and felt the rest too but generally good. Good chat all the way too.

It’s a while since I’ve played TT against a 9 year old. :-)
