Wander along beside the Cattie Burn was all I could muster today - jag side effects.

Nice day for a trundle. Sluie Loch and Hill, Trustach, Burnetts Farm and back through Blackhall. ADs leaky tubeless tyre slowed things down a touch but very enjoyable. Numerous frogs crossing the track in Blackhall.

More of those beech tree logs..pretty much sorted.

Trail / Terrain Run 2:05:09 [3] 15.38 km (8:08 / km) +765m 6:31 / km
ahr:136 max:176 shoes: Mudclaws bluebackred

Lovely day.
Lary Hill, Tom Liath, Mona Gowan and back via Cairnagour Hill, from close to the footbridge over the River Gairn by Dalfad. Steep climb up Lary Hill from Inverenzie then short heather or tracks for the most part. Hills to myself...never saw a soul but it really is “shooting butt central” round these hills. Some nice tracks I’d never been near. Still plenty of sizeable snow patches. A bit hazy, but some was smoke from heather burn.

Chainsawing and very therapeutic log splitting for three hours or so.

Trods up the back in the west end of Potties. My favourite place for a run at this time of year.

From north end of Glen Muick road with JM.
Worried a bit for the first hour or so that I wasn’t carrying enough kit. A really chill wind up high but it became somewhat warmer later in the morning and with the sun just a wee bit higher. Didn’t end up using all that I did take in the end.
Craig Vallich, Cairn Leuchan, and Head of Black Burn with a bit of wobbly nav to the latter, then back via Quartz Cliff. Four more DR CPs done. Felt pretty weary on most of the uphills...even though a lot were walked. Nice outing that would have been better still without the chill wind.

Some interesting stuff particularly round the Quartz Cliff - wasn't aware how impressive it is before - and some pretty tedious peat hags too at the far end. You have to work for life's pleasures after all :-)
