| Pain in knee is much less now but the lump is still worryingly big. I must get a DR appointment ASAP and get this sorted and hopefully they will tell me I can at least start cycling this week. Then maybe I can get to the forests and walk around a bit like week.
The pain is now only if I have been walking for too long (over 40mins), have sat down for too long and then walk or up and down stairs and hills...and of course pressure on the lump as ever. |

| Pain in knee really bad today, tink it is maybe from all the walking about (and maybe a bit of dancing) this week. Will try and rest as much as I can and hopefully it'll be better... |

| Piigaste, OK Põlva. Really nice area, my favourite of all days, and probably influenced by the fact everything went so well. Went without compass again and love the fact that everything makes more sense, I hope it is as successful when I start running again, but I feel I am finally looking at the map a bit differently which is so satisfying.
Always knew exactly where I was and made a specific effort to look at the wider picture, allowing me to immediately identify when I was about to drift...
Really happy and can't wait to run again... |

| Uniküla, OK Põlva. Todays aim was to not use my compass, and Mhairi set me a short line course between control 2 and 4. Started well, slightly missed 1 but had a back up attack point that worked perfectly. Was amazed at how much more sense the map made to me when I had no compass to rely on.
No 2 I got thrown by the felled area and took a long safe route round (to avoid the shit that might hit my knee as well) and found control perfectly. Line course was perfect and so were the final 2 controls.
Feeling really happy, although obviously still gutted that I cannot run...at least I am getting something out of the week though. |

| Was tipping it down. Went to local event and picked up map bat just walked some of the closer controls. Map memory again and much more successful, but didn't think the area was as nice. Tried to pick routes where I could see some good features and tried not to use any paths.
Missed one control by being on parallel ride but re did the leg as I wanted to find it properly. |

| Küka, OK Põlva Kobras, Estonia.
Could only walk because of knee so took Olegs advice and worked on map memory, reading leg ahead whilst walking memory route. Was harder than expected but features were really clear so satifying to follow. Lost direction slightly on no 1 because I was thinking too much about wanting to run but refocused and the rest of the course was good. Only did first 6 controls but really enjoyed the terrain.
