Orienteering race 53:34 [3] **** 5.7 km (9:24 / km) +60m 8:56 / km
shoes: Roclite 305

Scottish Night Champs, Findhorn, SVM class (including M60). Mixture of urban, dunes, gorse, woodland. Crackin area for a night event - very tricky in -laces. Major mistake 10-11, drifted off bearing and couldn't find path in the flat gravelly area. Found a control which wasn't the one I was looking for but didn't realise at the time was my no. 15. Wandered about like a headless chicken for a while finding other controls and the beach among other things but wasn't able to relocate until I found the same control again and realised it was 15 this time - 6 mins!! A few othe wobbles in this area then got on the wrong side of a fence at 17 in the caravan park area - a bit mickey mouse and not sure control description accurately describes where the control was?? - ~2 mins
3rd SVM behind Steve Wilson (50.07) and Dave Robertson (53.25) 1st M60
