Trail running race 1:03:18 [4] *** 7.1 km (8:55 / km) +260m 7:32 / km
spiked:13/17c shoes: OROC 270

VHI Individual M60, Winterfold & Pitch Hill. New area for me and surprisingly good - not too many brambles. Went straight to one to familiarise myself with terrain - quite tough bilberries/bracken/heather so maybe not optimum route but served a purpose. Dropped about 1min at 5 - a tiny knoll on the edge of some green forest which didn't seem to quite fit. Dropped about another 1m10s at 13 when the maze of mountain bikes tracks didn't seem to fit and then overshot controlin a small gully. Caught 2m by Tim Tett at this point, got away slightly 15-16 then binned it all at 17 when I misinterpretted fences ~1m - careless. TT 60.23, Reiver 66.32

ahr:130 max:155 shoes: Scott Supertrac RC2

ESOA champs @ Vogrie CANCELLED, Borders XC @ Spittal CANCELLED - Plan C, fortunately Skelfhill Pen was still there so Murphy and I had a wintery jaunt to the top and back via Phaup forest, avoiding fallen trees.

note: Lunch and a shower at Andrew & Katy's, but fortunately our power was back on by the evening. Still no phone line yet, therefore no broadband, but at least 4G dongle appears to be working.
