Nice gentle introduction to ocean paddling, from Freo to home on some fairly decent swell and a howling southerly. Someone wise said, "oh, you'll be fine" and I sort of was (until my inelegant dismount at Floreat Beach), and secretly it was really really fun. Made a good impression I think when my sinuses cleared themselves uninvited onto John's mum's dinner table. Adrenal glands still recovering.

Warnbro event. Tried a new theory of deciding which way to run before the start. Did that and then changed my mind and headed for the coast where the controls were much closer together. Had a lovely tail wind back up the beach. Finished second in the medium course

Rode with the Floreat group to Freo then on to work in Rockers. Head wind was tough on my own but not as tough as keeping up with Pete on the hills! Nice start to the year.
