Excellent fun day with Wil, Andre, Karen and Owen. We walked/jogged from the top of Mt Dale to the Mundaring Weir pub, where they had the perfect hot chips which I had been dreaming about since 11am.
Good solid walk, with a few long hills. Jogged the downhills and walked the rest. Just after the last hut Wil revealed that his goal of 7 hours was meant to be counting our 40min of stops, and we had 35min left to go almost 5km. So we started running, and then decided to run the whole way just to be sure, including the up hills. We felt a bit silly when we got back to the pub with 13min to spare, but the other guys got there 7min late so it was worth it after all.
Gorgeous day for it, and it is a very scenic piece of track (I did it once before but mostly at night time, which was less scenic) with some lovely boulders.
7/24 of a rogaine! (and no, I'm not planning to run 150km in the rogaine.)
