Orienteering 44:32 [3] 6.65 km (6:42 / km) +122m 6:08 / km

Course set by James Lloyd on his parent's property 20km East of Kingston SE. Brand new map made by David George from Lidar data.

Hard to describe the terrain, but basically inland dunes on farmland with pockets of bush which is mostly too thick to get through. Contours are subtle but good enough to give a challenge. Some nice depressions too (there were no tag lines on the map, so everything was a knoll and you had to work it out for yourself when you got there!). A few rock piles made nice point features, but a few more would be nice.

I think if it gets a proped field check and the vegetation mapped correctly it could be used for an event. Maybe just a local OY or a SA middle champs.

Stayed the night in a "hut" on the property, which has beds for 6, kitchen, gas stove, bbq, wood heater, and a detatched bathroom with flushing toilet and wood fired hot shower. Geat place to stay!
