Friday Feb 15

Orienteering race 35:11 [3]* 6.72 km (5:14 / km)
ahr:169 max:187 shoes: Asics Gel 1130
Summer series at Blackwood Park. Legs still felt like crap and ankle still a bit sore, especially when runnning on uneven ground. It was tough to decide which 3 to leave out. Did pretty well, but was slow.

Thursday Feb 14

ahr:161 max:197 shoes: Asics Gel 1130
Belair. Legs still felt crap after oztag on monday (too much sprinting without warming up properly). Ran with the slower guys and had to do many loops back to them so they could catch up. Stepped on a rock funny near the end and twinged something in my bad ankle. It is in a different spot to where I had surgery, so is unrelated, but hurts when I run.

Tuesday Feb 12

Morialta. Felt crap like last week and did about the same splits. 6.08 for the hill and 7.37 for the downhill.

Monday Feb 11

Played a game of Oz Tag (touch footy) for Conrad's team. Lots of sprinting up and down the field. Did a few dives to grab tags and now I have a sore wrist from landing on it.

Sunday Feb 10

Training at Para Wirra. Decided to run John Lyon's hard course, which had 2 flags at each site, one on the wrong feature and one on the right. It was a very good course and made a couple of small mistakes, but punched all of the correct controls. Found it hard to get through some of the green sections, and got lots of scratches. Went straight on most legs, which John L didn't think was a route choice, but was probably faster.
