Freycinet. We decided to do a group run on the Wineglass Bay-Hazards Beach curcuit. The ranger said there was a 10% chance of light rain and we were fine with that, so we set off. At wineglass bay it was sunny and we were thinking of going for a swim, but 5 mins later, on the way to hazards beach, there was thunder and lightning! It was raining when me and simon got to the beach, but not bad, then we saw what was coming, so we went back and got some shelter until the girls arrived. From here it was a hard slog up the beach into gale force winds, sheets of freezing cold rain and sand blasting into you.

We were very thankful for the beach to end and the track to go into the forest, where there was protection from the wind. From here we decided to stay together, so if something happened, we would all know and not get separrated.

Jenny was nice and made a fire for us before we got back. :)
