Running 1:19:02 [3] 13.5 km (5:51 / km) +244m 5:22 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Cumulus 16

Bridgewater run.

Legs (and the rest of me after getting home at 1am) were not feeling good at the start and it was cold and raining. After about 5 mins I was feeling better, but the pace wasn't too fast. Out to Woorabinda, then up to Old Mt Barker rd, then Zara, Steve and I split off and took Old Carey Gully rd, Golf Links, and back through Mt George to add a bit extra.

Nice run even if it did rain a bit. Pushed up a couple of hills, but mostly took it pretty easy.

Orienteering 10:32 [4] 2.15 km (4:54 / km) +20m 4:41 / km

"Friendship relay" at Thorndon Park before the presentation night.

Got given a number by Bridget and had to form a team with other people with that number. Sounds easy enough, but it somehow failed for some. Team 13 and 14 only had 2 people each, so we formed a team of 4 of Trevor D, Andrew K, Steve C and myself. Seemed like a good team (the others weren't dressed for running though). I had to get the furthest controls (of course). Ended up 4th to the first control, but punched first because Angus just kept running and Remi couldn't unfold his map. I was last in our team to the first meeting point, but I think we were the first team to leave there. Made a poor route choice down the track that disappears into green, but didn't slow me down too much. Last in the team to the next meeting point, but first to leave again. Got told where I had to go and kept running and was first to the finish. Had to wait a bit for the rest of the team and we were the first team back. Other teams not too far behind.

I have done an event similar before, it is a fun format, we should do it more.

Cycling 35:35 [3] 17.0 km (28.7 kph) +45m

To work. A minute slower downhill than I was uphill 2 days ago. Amazing the difference a good or bad wind can make. Now to hope the wind stays that way for the ride home.

Cycling 35:33 [3] 17.0 km (28.7 kph) +225m

Home from work. Wind was strong, but not quite in the right direction, so I was fast, but not quite as fast as Thursday. I am now the King of Illyarrie though! :)

I am feeling quite fit at the moment, probably the fittest I have been since I broke my arm in 2011. Now just to keep it going and lose a few kgs before World Masters.

Cycling 29:45 [3] 17.0 km (34.3 kph) +45m

To work. Nice to get under 30mins for the first time in a few months, had to push the last couple of km's to get it.

Cycling 34:34 [3] 17.0 km (29.5 kph) +225m

Home from work. Yay new PB for this! I could see the time was going to be fast, so kept pushing and really went hard in the last km up my street (also to try for KOM in the Strava segment). This would also be my fastest overall for the day too (well over 30km/h avg).

Short ride to pick up my car.

Running 47:04 [4] 8.37 km (5:37 / km) +250m 4:54 / km

Morialta. Legs still stiff and sore from the rogaine, so warm up was slow. Deep view was tough, but only 15 secs slower than last week. Didn't feel too bad after that and pushed hard on the downhill to keep up with Stefano.

Running 5:00 intensity: (3:00 @2) + (2:00 @4) 1.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Adidas Kanadia 7

8 x 80m run throughs. Took me a few to get up to pace and really struggled with this.

Cycling 20:41 [3] 11.3 km (32.8 kph) +34m

Shorter commute after dropping my car at the crash repairers after getting rear ended last week. Not too much damage, but without a car for a few days (sister offer to borrow hers though).

Legs felt supprisingly good on the bike after being quite sore walking since Sat. Had to adjust my hand position due to the stitches and made it a bit harder to brake.

Cycling 37:25 [3] 17.0 km (27.3 kph) +225m

Legs were feeling very stiff and sore all day at work, so was not looking forward to the ride home. When I got on my legs didn't like it, but when I got going felt really good and it ended up being pretty quick. I don't know what is going on, I haven't been training that much, maybe losing a couple of kg's has helped.
