Indoor Trainer ride. Tried the Active.com hill workout #1. 5 min warm up at 50%, 5 min alt leg intervals, 5 min at 90+ cadence then start the hills; 3 min sitting 1 min spin and then subtract 30 sec of sitting and make that standing time until i did 3 min of standing. Tough hill workout. It gets you stnading pretty quick. there are 7 sets of 3 min hills with only 1 min breaks. Last 3 min was a spin at 90+ cadence.

evening run in the cold and snow. Ran 19:01 out and 18:53 back. Good Neg split for longer run. Cold at 28F but felt like 18F. 80% of trail wa covered in packed uneven snow and ice, 15% uneven frozen ground and 5% powdery snow. Felt Great. Dressed right shorts with 2 long sleave shirts and 1 ligthwt windbreaker jacket. Used my phone for music and GPS. I listened to Jars of Clay radio on Pandora and the GPS said I ran 8.23 miles. I guess that is a little off. I also think the HRM was off too as it started out with my HR at 30 and I maxed at 181 now 15 min later it is reading 48 and I count 72.
