I wasn't sure how to classify this activity because of the nature of it. However, i did get a solid core workout as well as leg workout. Went to Flagstaff to board and got in about 9 long runs from the top. At the end of the day my legs and core were cashed. It's not so much a cardio workout as it is a strength training.

Went out to the Old Pueblo course with Tommy and Justin. First mountain ride for Tommy since knee surgery so it was a testing ground for his knee and fitness. On a personal level i wanted to compare how i felt when i rode it over the xmas holiday to how it would feel today. I have gotten much stronger and the cardio is solid. We took it easy on the first lap with some minor mechanical issues but it felt great. Legs felt great on the climb. Second lap felt some minor cramping but the endurolites took care of that. Hydration still seems to be a tricky one to nail down. I took in an adequate amount of fluid/nuun so I'm not sure where the problem lies. May have to up the nuun tab count. At any rate, the ride was fun and gave me a good idea of where i stand this year for the Pueblo. I think I may have about 6-7 laps in me.
