Saturday Aug 10 #

Cycling 3:00:00 [3]

Day #6 - Sluggish at first - mentally and physically winding down. Then "tunnel of trees" windy road was pleasant. Turned east for last 10 miles with stiff tailwind -- great way to finish!
Now for a couple days of rest.

Friday Aug 9 #

Cycling 4:20:00 [3]

Day #5 - Charlevoix to Harbor Springs. Easier rollers today. Cooler. Fairly stiff wind - mostly crosswind and partial tailwind.
Stopped at Petoskey to learn of founder Chief Ignatius Petoskey, Hemingway's summer home on Walloon Lake, and Petoskey's role in final demise of last large passenger pigeon flock.

Cycling 4:35:00 [4]

Day #4 - Traverse City to Charlevoix. 10+ mph winds which changed from crosswind to partial headwind and 10 miles of rollers at end made this a tough day. Body is holding up.

Wednesday Aug 7 #

Cycling 2:00:00 [1]

Rest ride with Fran to Sutton's Bay on TART paved, flat trail. Took bus back.

Swimming 20:00 [2]

In Sutton's Bay before bus came.

Day #3. Frankfort to Traverse City. Slowed pace a bit. Longer stops. 3 mile gradual climb was fine with fast descent. Will take it easy on tomorrow's rest day. Bit tired, achy left ankle but overall feel good.

Monday Aug 5 #

Cycling 4:45:00 [4]

Day #2, 8% longer, 3 climbs- 1 steep to Arcadia lookout, 2 1+ mile gradual climbs. Great temps and appreciated light tailwind.
Tired but body is holding up well.

Sunday Aug 4 #

Cycling 4:40:00 [3]

Shoreline West Day 1 -- Montague to Ludington. High about 80 - perfect. Excellent organization and meals.
Tired not sore. With slight headwind and 1 last hill, last 10 miles were tough.
