X-Country race (Trail) 1:27:40 [4] 18.75 km (4:41 / km) +415m 4:13 / km

Cheviot Trail Series
Fenwick to Wooler on the St. Cuthberts Way

Knew I wasn't fit so uhmed and ahhed a little before eventually deciding on Friday to go enjoy and see what happened. Strung it out initially, but it quickly became apparent that I wasn't going to be making the running. Let a group of three disappear away but they took a wrong once out of Detchant and Kyloe so I ended up leading till about 10km.

Then slowly everyone started coming back to me and ended up at the back of a group of 5 by Weetwood Bridge. Slowed down quite a bit heading up the towards Weetwood Moor then had to manage my effort to the finish as my stomach started to die. A group of 3 were closing in towards the end which made it interesting also.

Enjoyable and a nice route.
