Tuesday Mar 25

Running (jog) 50:00 [3]10 km (5:00 / km)

Run on streets in Edinburgh to keep myself moving after the weekend, felt pretty good.

Monday Mar 24

Orienteering race (JK Relay) 32:27 [4]**** 4.2 km (7:44 / km)
spiked:8/11c shoes: Swoops (binned)
running wise felt really tired after previous 3 days - unfit!
was on first leg of mens short, made 2 big mistakes at 2 (was with the leaders before 2) and 5 (the same place tom did...), they were close together and ended up navigating to 5 from 2 again... lost a lot of time on these 2 controls (~4mins)

came back in 24th position, helena and tom ran after and we finished 25th, not too bad.
Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]2 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: Swoops (binned)
ran up to the toilets (far too far away!) plus general dynamic warmup / stretching

Sunday Mar 23

Orienteering race (JK Day 3) 1:01:02 [4]**** 8 km (7:38 / km) +325m 6:20 / km
spiked:11/13c shoes: Swoops (binned)
two annoying mistakes giving me more climb than needed but running ok - 6th again for 4th place overall - really pleased as was aiming for a top 10 on 21S - going to run elite at BOC
Running warm up/down 20:00 [1]2 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Swoops (binned)
jog to the start followed by a dynamic warmup and some stretching

Saturday Mar 22

Orienteering race (JK Day 2) 1:00:43 [4]*** 7.7 km (7:53 / km) +300m 6:36 / km
spiked:19/22c shoes: Swoops (binned)
good solid race on M21S (6th place), still lacking some fitness / running speed but getting there.
Running warm up/down 30:00 [1]2.8 km (10:43 / km)
shoes: Swoops (binned)
jog to the start (2.8k), plus dynamic warmup included

Friday Mar 21

Event: JK 2008

Orienteering race (JK Sprint) 17:36 [5]**** 2.6 km (6:46 / km) +50m 6:11 / km
spiked:16/18c shoes: Asics Gel Kayano
JK Sprint, ran mens open course, ran clean and hard at the start and was lying 2nd after 9 then started to tire. Made a few small mistakes but overall pleased with 10th out of ~150 (the elites were on another course)
Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]1 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano
dynamic warmup and some stretching
