Morning Training - Shadowed
Charlotte Lindkvist offered to shadow me today, and although this is always a prospect that scares me, I wasn't silly enough to say no.
It was really good. Having her there made me really focus and keep contact with the map. I was keeping a constant speed, not too fast, and managed to complete the course with little lost time (30s maybe).
I was impressed with myself. And all the feedback I was getting was really positive. She was surprised that I read the map so well, and run so fast through terrain :p
Maybe I need to work on concentrating more during my orienteering courses!

Afternoon Training - Mass Start - Many courses
Feeling happy after the morning feedback I was confident in this course. Kept focussed and close contact to the map. Felt good, and although the area was slow-going I was hitting the controls well. Cut direct for 4 to 9 to give myself a longer, more difficult leg to navigate (as all were quite short). This proved quite tough, through marshes and green, but was successful. 2 little misses near the end. Losing concentration maybe?
