Saw a Heron on the path on the way out.

Rainy day. Ran down to the canal and did intervals along there. Ran for three minutes at +90% then ran until heart rate was below 70% and repeated this 6 times in total. For the intervals I ran for 18min at max and 14min 6 secs recovering.

Hot today, Drank two glasses of water before going out. HR was quite erratic at first, but did settle down. Knees were a little sore, but not too bad. Much faster than last time.

I was very quick over the first half of the course, but a bit slower over the second half. It was quite dry, but it was wet under foot. Best time yet by 10 secs.

65% to 70%(139 bpm). Run down to Morton bridge and then along the canal and back. Got just passed golf course in 44 mins. It was a hot, dry day. By the end my legs were heavy and my hips were beginning to hurt. I will keep it at this length of time along the canal for recovery runs until my weight has dropped.
