Track 2:00:00 [3] 1.5 mi (1:20:00 / mi)
shoes: Post-XC shoes
It was raining, so other than a bit of running, we did yoga, which was fun.
The schoolweek is done. Now I need to do a little bit more SAT studying, go to bed early, and take the test tomorrow.

Good grief, I have always seen the SAT as that test which kids who are so much older than I take. It is insane that I am taking it tomorrow.

What a relaxing workout.
C • SATs 6

Thursday Feb 28

shoes: Post-XC shoes
I miss running with the Orienteering crowd...

Tuesday Feb 26

Track 2:00:00 [5] 2.0 mi (1:00:00 / mi)
Today I did the sprinting workout. It wasn't really fun. I'm thinking about what to do, since I generally avoid having large portions of my life be unpleasant. I wish we had hurdling workouts every day, rather than just 3 days a week.

Monday Feb 25

Track intervals 2:00:00 [4] 2.33 mi (51:29 / mi)
shoes: Post-XC shoes
Track Practice!

Distance is appx.
Contains: Stretching, Warm Up, Hurdling, Drills, Form Sprinting, and etc.

Track is so much fun!

Why Northwest Orienteers should know how to hurdle:

1) If you are running down a trail, or through the woods, or through a field, or wherever, and you need to get over a fallen tree (fairly common in the PNW), hurdling over it is probably the most effective method.
2) Hurdling is primarily about maintaining foot speed despite obstacles, which is a fundamental part of orienteering as well.

Anyway,

WIOL Champs!

JV Boys, Course 4: I managed to make a massive (30 min) error on control 2 (I found a parrallel fork in the path and followed it to a parrallel fence with a parrallel gap in the fence), but otherwise managed to run the course well.

What an excellent season!
C • Awesome season indeed! I'm ... 2
