My navigation felt soo good shame about the inability to run at a reasonable pace for an elite athlete. Was in the lead after about 2 min then dropped a bit but was navigating smoothly and by the time i got out into the fields i knew i was second behind kris and could see him up the hill and lots of lights honing in on me from behind. The fields just killed me i am curious to see how much time i lost on kris on all the dead running legs. But after spectator found kris looking a bit lost (looking for a stream bend) then got ahead for a bit before he reeled me in then he just kept pulling away then he made a mistake and i caught him up. I lost time on a control where he had a different gaffle and then saw him again going the wrong way on a path where i did follow him. Was with him at penultimate control then on 2-3 min run in lost like 20sec or something ridiculous.
Overall really happy with my performance and we won the handicap which was nice.
