Porter then over to Rivelin and back along top path. This was a grind. A couple pints too many (4) last night and a pre breakfast run. Also slipping a lot on top path but it was so nice to back briefly.

Looking forward to this. I knew I would have to run about a PB to get through and was also not confident I was in that sort of shape. In lane 1 so went out hard and was in 2nd behind MoMo who flew off. Through in 33 nice then it just slowed and I didn't realise how much. Next lap 38!!. Then got a bit pushy trying to escape and just went for it at the front.

Could only manage 8:45 but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Was planning on 6x1k(2) trying to run 1:48 through 600 then a faster last lap. Feeling pretty bad though so just left it at 4 and added 4x200 on the end.

Was struggling to even go through in 1:48. Obviously last week is taking it's toll. I think it might be too late to feel good by the weekend but taking it easy this week so can train well in Spain.

Taking it real easy this week with race at weekend then off to Spain where I want to be training well. Also a little bit ill which isn't surprising considering I spent 6 days in a hut with 17 people some of whom were ill. Laura included.
