Took it fairly easy in the group out navigating at times. Had a big butterfly so was by myself and came out in 3rd so looks like I'm in the semi. Oops.

Runners choice. First bit in graveyard again and we spent 3 legs colliding into each other. I got a good choice and Shminty and Joe got a bad one so I had a gap and then pushed on to qualify. This race I did push it which maybe wasn't clever but I was feeling good and having fun.

Top of my right calf on the inside got very sore and tender last night. Very localised and not sure what it is or what caused it. Decided to take a day or few off as hoping to run the odd event or two in the next couple of weekends.

(Missed a downhill bit on my watch).
Back in Makara bike park. Went down as many tracks as I could. Came to the conclusion, the best (non expert) ones were the one I went down last Saturday with the other orienteers.
One hard crash where the bike handle caught a tree and the bike turned left and I kept going forwards.

Update.

Back has been getting slowly better and the diagnosis was spondylolisthesis and probably had some minor fracture or damage causing the pain.

Been doing a load of exercises for a couple of weeks now to strengthen bits and generally just gotta take things easy. Biking and uphill running are okay though due to low impact and back position. Still slowly working in the running though and happy to take my time a bit and mostly enjoying the mountain biking.

Testing things a bit as there was some downhill sections also bonked in the heat and struggled the last 5minutes quite badly. Awesome track though.
