CRT Shelley ride, too many people in the group to Freo and also got nearly every light plus various other groupsto overtake etc made it crazy for the first part.

Settled nicely after that and was hard into the wind but good on the way back. Some strong riders in the group made for a fast ride once we got going and were rolling properly

Back to Brew Ha then a trip to Freo (in the car) to check out the closing down sale at Fleet Cycles. 2 * Gloves, 2 * Knicks, 2 * Sunnies and 1 * new toruing MT Shoes all at good discounts. Lots of people and lots of bikes plus the clothing etc going fast.

Orienteering race (MetrO) 31:35 [4] 5.21 km (6:04 / km) +37m 5:51 / km

Wanneroo event on a new area so had no idea which way to go at the start. Decide to go South as the play area to the North looked like complexity that I did not need out of the start.

Sorts of chased followed Ian Fletcher and Ken Post through 15, 18 16, 19, 21 and then was looking at th emap to decide what next when I caught by the fence south of 17 - the gate was locked and Ian and Ken had done the same thing and had to run to the end - if I had looked up I would have caught them (but would have lost ehm again for sure) Not sure where Ken went but he hurt his leg and was in ice at the finish. Ian was confused by the next fence trap on the way to 14 and I nearly caught him. Finished off 10, 8, 5, 6, 7 & 11 only to be caught again by being the wrong side of the wooden fence around the paly area. (so much for avoiding the complex stuff at the begining as it got me at the end!

Good fun to run in a new area and thanks to Simmo for the effort to find and map it.

Rode to the Narrows with Nicole to meet Jennifer and Carol then gave them a tow down to Canning Bridge - steady into the southerly wind but did not push it. Then did a lap around Mt Henry and back into the city with the wind behind from Mt Henry. Made it to just over 40 km/hr on the freeway (GPS later no download cradle at work)

Road Cycling (commute) 50:00 [3] 20.0 km (24.0 kph)
shoes: Colnago CLX

Super windy morning, hard work out to Windance bridge and then cruise back into the city. Overtook quite a few people who were struggling in the wind and weaving all over the path as they could not do straight lines!

Road Cycling (Commute) 19:30 [3] 7.5 km (23.1 kph)
shoes: Colnago CLX

More wind - had an Astana man to follow / chase along the Bay

Running 36:00 [3] 6.5 km (5:32 / km)

Slow run in the heat with Eddie, walked from the "cannons" to War Memorial and just beat tRicky (new starter on the KP Tuesday run) and Simmo back to Hale Oval.

Challenged tRicky to beat the Orienteering PB on the long route of -29 mins by Karl or Tony McNulty - I think he is up for it
