Running 34:27 [3] 6.01 km (5:44 / km) +33m 5:35 / km
shoes: Blue Asics

Had thought about doing a Park Run, but was glad I decided to go to Claremont and not try to run hard as the legs were unwilling. So I had a pleasant run around the lake and surrounding area whereas I suspect pushing myself in a Park Run would have hurt.

Maybe 3 days of Hobart Shorts, a return bike ride, flying across the country and an evening at our Wine Club supping down lovely sparkling reds is not the best prep for a 5km Park Run!

Road Cycling 1:29:00 [3] 40.54 km (27.3 kph) +274m
shoes: Colnago CLX

Back on the bike after a month away in NSW and Tassie and I felt it. Going along steady until Burke Drive when a group caught me but not going so fast that I could not hook on for the ride through to Canning Bridge but the extra pace hurt. The pulled a couple of guys half way to the narrows until we got caught in a useless detour and they hammered off and my legs said NO!

Nice to be back on the bike and nice morning with a mild NE wind.

Hobart Shorts race 4

Picked up and early pre-start for a run around Battery Point. Pretty simply navigation so just legs speed. Lost about 10 seconds on one when after running uphill I stopped one building too short and looked around until the brain kicked back in. 9th with a very fast over 1 minute per Km faster than me winner

Hobart Shorts Race 2 -

Very wet after over 100mm rain overnight. Lots of tracks and scrubby bush to negotiate and also a "maze" which was really a grid of controls 5 * 5 with three on my course - managed to visit all four corners for one! Lost significant time when I picked the wrong track and due to the floods a new creek was flowing that made for a silly error.

Close to Gary's house so not to far to go back for a shower and warm up

St Helens Long Oceania - good for the first five controls then ran into a Bermuda Triangle and by the time I worked out where I was I had lost all motivation to keep going so jogged back along the road.
