Nice cool Christmas Day and good for a run to the beach. Sluggish for the first km but felt Ok after that but the little rises along the path and Eric St enough to slow me down.

Lots of people away this year or preparing for lunches, but still a nice crowd with the lots of Howes, Simmo, JB, Peter, Noel, Chas & Phil (plus Lola and Finnie), John and Jen just leaving as we arrived and Kirsten Richards paying a visit to WA

Ocean was nice and not cold, need to get to the beach more often.

Shelley loop with Boot Camp Bruce and Scott who showed us both up cruising along on his fixxy.

As normal a easterly most of the way but a nice tail wind on Manning Rd and back home on Matilda Bay.

Forgot to turn the GPS back on after the coffee stop in South Perth

BB BC continues, this time with a Kings Park run on Noel's route.

Rather warm with Perth hitting high 30s today and still plenty warm at 6:00pm, mind you as we say in the west "it was a dry heat" In the mid range of times which considering the heat was not too bad.

Stopped after a couple of hundred meters to inspect the 1+m dugite that was sunning itself half across the path. The first snake I have seen in Kings Park for a at least 4 years. Slide off into the undergrowth as soon as one of us moved. Another quick pit stop for a drink at the DNA tower.

Orienteering (Sort of O Novelty ) 41:30 [1] 3.46 km (11:59 / km)
shoes: Black Asics GT 2000

Walked around Freo looking at coffee shops and trying to make sense of the circles v shops in the Annual OWA Christmas Novelty event.

It was Noel's turn this year after a few years of Nicole and I, we correctly guessed there would be a coffee theme and Noel set up the map with just a few streets to get us started then just circles. Each coffee shop name was to be entered into a crossword. Was going Ok for a bit then could not make sense so headed back to safer territory and managed to make sense again.

Spotted tRicky near the end and I said I was going on and he told me there was only 4 minutes left in the allotted time. I had my garmin on auto pause and had only walked for 36 minutes out of 56 - I had guessed that I was stopped still for 10 minutes not 20!

All good fun

Continued Boot Camp for Bruce Bowen, today as a lap of Herdsman Lake, kept a steady pace. Nice cool conditions in WA when the rest of Australia is in a heat wave.

(Walked the first 400m or so)
