Running 36:13 [3] 6.19 km (5:51 / km) +65m 5:34 / km
shoes: Black Asics GT 2000

Very tired legs, I guess from standing up for 3 or 4 hours yesterday at PIAF helping to make the lanterns for the Home opening performance.

A bonus we got to hear Tim Minchin doing a sound check and playing songs from Matilda

Will be interesting to see how the Lantern thing works out this evening as there seem to be a few issues with the execution of the concept.

Refreshing dip in the ocean at City Beach

Road Cycling 1:03:35 [3] 25.57 km (24.1 kph) +156m
shoes: Colnago CLX

Down to Cottesloe and back to City Beach for a quick dip in the ocean and a coffee at Clancy's

Crazy busy traffic from Christchurch School through to Marine Parade, school drop off, trucks, garbage trucks, etc. etc. Good to see the ranger ticketing the cars parked in the Clearway bike path just before Christchurch School. One good truck driver on Marine Parade waited for me to go through the chicane near Cottesloe Surf Club (I gave him a thumbs up as it is nice to say thanks to courteous drivers) but it was countered by the d@*khead garbage truck driver who tried to force me into the kerb at the north end of Cottesloe where the road narrows.

Orienteering 30:49 [3] 4.95 km (6:14 / km) +2m 6:13 / km

Sprint training at UWA by Tash, ran a couple of courses with Adam Nolan.

We ran a couple of courses alternating memorising legs and the other checking on the route. Mostly got it Ok but as ever hard when you get in the circle to remember exactly what feature the control (tape) was on.

Today's dream was an early ride to Scarborough and back, somewhat slowly as the legs were a bit tired. Getting warm and much more humid than yesterday.

Running (Dreams) 1:07:42 [3] 11.36 km (5:57 / km) +20m 5:54 / km
shoes: Black Asics GT 2000

Had a dream that I woke up at 6:00am, dragged on my shorts and shoes and headed out for a run on a beautiful still morning, with gentle light on the river through Nedlands and out to Tawarri and lots of people out for a morning stroll. An apparition that looked like Rachel West appeared in UWA and kept my honest for the run back through the OOB in Kings Park for the last couple of km.

Must have been a dream as the longest run since Jan 2104, maybe if I can keep dreaming I will get to the goal of a half marathon distance

Note

Too lazy to get up before it got too hot to think about exercise, and now Kings Park tracks are all closed.

Don't need any more excuses for a rest day

Road Cycling 2:17:18 [3] 52.27 km (22.8 kph) +329m
shoes: Colnago CLX

Ride across to Herdsman to meet with Edward, across to Scarborough, up and down a few hills but wind at our backs. Up the coast to Hillarys and on up to Whitfords before heading back across to the freeway. Grinding into the easterly. Down the freeway path to Lake Monger and back to Herdsman and home.

Lost of short hills and very busy with people on the coast plus the wind made for a slowish ride. Not too hot but would not be so nice later in the day.

GPS ANT does not want to play - maybe later!

So I reboot and turn on the Garmin and like Magic there is the data transfer!!
