In Dublin's fair city where the girls are so pretty, I went for run in search of Molly Malone.

Crazy busy with lots of workers on their way home but had a good explore down to the river and back via random streets.

Hiking 58:12 [2] 4.57 km (12:44 / km) +306m 9:32 / km

Bray Head loop walk on Valentia Island, sunny but with a brisk wind off the Atlantic. Nice views over rocky headlands and cliffs. One of the few walks in the area which is free, went past another walk to the highest point on the island which was two Euro to walk across a few paddocks. Very different to the upland areas of the UK that are crisscrossed with walking routes and full of hikers. The access movement in England has a lot to be thanked for.

Portmagee west of Kerry. Sign said Kerry's best cliffs 2.4km, so ran out to the cliff but found it was four Euro to walk 100m to the look out. Asked the guy in the ticket booth if I could have a free go since I had run from town. No way we have CCVT to stop people getting free goes! So nothing else but to run to the top of the hill, managed to run until the last 500m when I swapped to run / walk. A bit too steep to run fast down but nice to get a decent run in.

GPS says it was 247m in 4.5km an average climb of 4.5% and the steep section was 1.3km and 165m climb an average of 12.7% no wonder it hurt a bit and I had to walk a few bits

Sunny weather and around 15 deg - nearly heat wave after the arctic blast last weekend.
