MTBO race 57:02 [4] 11.42 km (12.0 kph) +142m
shoes: Avanti Mountain Bike

Australian Middle Distance MTBO Champs

Centered around the old Golf Course at Dwellingup, with plenty of rain overnight and early morning there were muddy sections and a few decent puddles to splash through.

A good mixture of wide roads, single track, and old fairways kept the interest up. Was very confused along with many other riders in the camping area so waster around 10 minutes looking for #5 & #6 but otherwise the navigation was working OK. But not fast enough to match it with the interstate visitors, Peter Hill came past me late in the course I despite trying for a while I could not hold him on the wider roads, whereas I could stay with him on the rougher tracks.

Nice area and good Courses, with thanks to Duncan and Jack for the setting and Controlling

Lots of families out, I guess the teachers have gone back to work but the kids must have had another day off.

Metro at City Beach, nice way to start a Sunday rather than have a Saturday arvo event. (Also the weather was seriously shit yesterday at 5:00pm so an even better call to hold the event on a Sunday)

It was a nice run and a good course and I thought I was running quite well and not making any errors. Except my route choice was pretty poor as I ran nearly 1km longer than the optimum route, which I did not see but others did!
