shoes: Avanti Mountain Bike

MTBO event at Langford Park.

Maybe doing MTBO twice a year and not riding the MTB in between events is not the best training!

Missed the side track to #1, or rather saw it and thought it was the one before the one I needed so too far down the hill before and had to ride back up to turn into the right track.

No big problems through to #7 but slow on the single track, was a nice person and let a few people go by.

Was getting tired so mistakes started:

From #7 to #8 missed a turn and ended up and #9 and had to turn back

after #9 which I knew where it was I thought I was leaving #10 so rather than turning around kept straight on, thinking I am smarter than a lady I had been riding with who did turn around. About 200m to the major track, hello what could be wrong! As I was turning around over balanced with my right cleat clipped in, and fell onto the road. Back to #10 oh what no SI E-Stick - shit - must have dropped in when I fell off so back down to the spot, and yes it was there so back to #10 - getting very used to that section of single track by now.

Off to #11 stopped at #12 and thought that is the wrong number, ah ha I have to go to #11 first which I did and then back to #12 which I knew the right trail for.

Set off towards #13 but missed the cross road and arrived back at #11.

That was enough so cut out to the road and back to the finish, like Juffy I was not inspired by the trek out to #15 anyway

Nice area lots of tricky tracks to ride and navigate with too many hills. A a good course
