Great plan this morning ride north to Dunsborough to meet Nicole for coffee, strong southerly made for a nice pace. Garmin told me I had done my fastest 5km ever!

I did add in a bit of hill on Wildwood Rd rather than cut across on Thornton

Nice loop through the vineyards to Cowaramup and then on the East side of the highway through dairy farm land and nice jarrah forest

Strongish southerly and few hills to start but easy as going north and not too bad in the cross wind.

Lunch at Woody Nook and then a really nice tasting at Ashbook still one of the best underrated wineries in the Margret River region.

Out to East Perth for a birthday ride with Nicole. Swapped coffee shops to Partisan as Toast has changed ownership and the service was not so good last time we went there. Nice strong coffee to match the strong Easterly that was a breeze to get home with!

Manged to get 49.6 km/hr on the bike computer on Matilda Bay but had to pull out of my effort to get to 50, as there were lots of pedestrians on the path.

Was planning to run in Kings Park but started off with Mike and he was not up for running so walked around chatting with him. Had to detour around the James Blunt concert at the women's fountain

Had a short sprint at the end when Juffy and Ken B caught up and I thought I would make them work a bit. Both beat me back :-(

Gym 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Ascii 2000 Oct 2016

Added a few more exercises, very hard to balance on the squishy rubber discs and lift weights.

Easy 45 minute ride around Kings Park

Going to the gym later so did not feel like flogging myself on the hills

Whiteman Park Sprint

Decided to do the Long as I thought a bit of extra distance was better for my Tassie preparation and it is also a pretty simple area. A bit slow in the soft sand and was run over by the McFarlane train, foist the Lilly and Riley racing each other then Sharon towards the end where her running speed was faster than mine.

No big mistakes just a few hesitations and a small mistake on the last control when I followed Sharon nearly to the wrong control but I recovered quicker but Sharon still out sprinted me to the finish

Very nice run around Yetar Springs, some pretty rough and prickly sections but mostly stayed on line and found the pink tapes.

1.8km to the start and 7.4km in the bush

Longest run for some time and the body feels fine

Thanks to Rachel, Rob & Lois
