Beautiful calm afternoon paddle in the Norwegian sea.

Double kayak with Nicole and 5 other boats in the party, two were struggling but not too bad and such a lovely paddle it was fine to wait a while for others to catch up. Some bird life around but no sea eagles

Paddled further than we rode :-)

Cycle Touring 1:00:00 [2] 12.0 km (12.0 kph) +42m
shoes: Dodgy Rental Bikes

Rented the bikes from the ship at about 10% the cost of the "tour". 100kr v 990kr! And we did a similar route without the annoying guide to tell us we were looking at a "harbour", "cathedral" "shopping mall" etc.

Had a nice coffee in the mall and visited to the tourist office and picked up some info for our return visit in a week or so. GPS ran out of gas at the coffee shop.

Still fabulous weather sunny and low 20 degrees with little wind.

Bush Walking 1:15:57 [3] 5.24 km (14:29 / km) +154m 12:38 / km

Up the cable car from Bergen to Ulriken - saved the legs from the grouse grind style 1,500 step walk up ~500m.

Took off to towards the distant highest peak in the Bergen range. Temperature in the low 30's with only a very light breeze. Traversed lots of low rocky sections with a few small lakes and a number huts, not sure if the huts were for skiers, walkers or shepherds but none seemed occupied.

Lots of auto pause's on the GPS with the rocky path making for slow progress

The free map is good but many paths are missing so a bit of guess work and with good visibility it was easy to find the route, not sure it would be so easy in rain or cloud.
