Inspired by Rachel went to Reabold and ran the Zamia trail.

Top car park full so parked at the Rochdale one, got the last spot. I have never seen so many people at Reabold I think I could see at least one group the whole time I was out.

Walked the first Km and had to walk up the steep hill by the pine plantation.

Nice weather for a run

Note

I started Orienteering in 1976 in the UK and attended a few JK events. I cannot find the results on line other than the Champions for those years (which was definitely not me!) Maybe O-ing has some archive of hard copy results books? I was a race day organiser for the JK on Cannock Chase in 1981 and migrated to Perth in July 1981.

Since then I have been to 28 Easter 3 Day Champs all around Australia. Missed a few when traveling and when we lived in Vancouver around the turn of the century. I was the setter for the Carnival in 1993 the first time it came to WA and was controller for the 2011 edition at Frazzle. A couple of events results are not on line to again looking to O-ing to fill in the gaps.

Made it back to the old country for 2 more JKs in 1999 and 2014. And had two Easter's in New Zealand 2015 & 2017 (World Masters)

Best result was 3rd in Dubbo in 2008

Enjoyed each one in different ways and missing 2020 badly so the research is a poor substitute.

1977 – JK Lieth Hill (results not online will have to rely on O-Ing to have a book!)
1978 – JK Wharncliffe (results not online will have to rely on O-Ing to have a book!)
1979 – JK Dartmoor (results not online will have to rely on O-Ing to have a book!)

Lumberjacking 1:00:00 [2]

Hacking down the vine that had grown over the pandanas tree, plenty of arm work and balance on the ladder. A bit of working at heights thought but generally stayed safe. 3 more bags of garden waste on the verge. Did 4 two weeks ago and 8 last week, plenty more out of control growth in the garden to work on.

With a 34 degree day on the way managed to get it in early enough to avoid the heat.
