Escaped from the city for the first time in long time, drove out to the Swan Valley and joined the many many people at Bells (not) Rapids and went for a walk. As ever 500m from the car park and there were not too many people so a pleasant sunny walk up the 4WD trail and back on the footpath next to the river. Just a few pools so the person with a surf ski on their roof was it seems a little optimistic.

Should have worn my salomon trail shoes as a bit rocky and rough in parts

Walked the first km as a warm up and cracked for a couple of hundred metres on Zamia when it got steep. A couple of stops to get the heart rate back down and stretch

Lazy ride in Kings Park, planned to have an essential coffee at Zamia but it seemed like half the population of Perth had headed to the park so we abandoned the plan and went to Subi and had a coffee in the Rose garden next to the war memorial which was also busy but we did find a free park bench to rest our bottoms.

Lovely sunny day in Perth with a winter storm promised for tonight and the next few days, it will be good if it lives up to the promise
