Running 10:00 [1] 1.0 km (10:00 / km)

Orienteering race 42:23 [4] 6.0 km (7:04 / km)

Rubbish, but enjoyed it anyway. Not too fussed about the O ths year, just haven't done enough to be competitive.

Stumbled through the tricky forested section with minimal damage, but errors on 6,7,8,9 and 10! Threw everything resoundingly in the bin.

Concentrate on some trail/fell racing now before Scotland.

Running 2:15:00 [3] 21.0 km (6:26 / km) +650m 5:34 / km

Long run with Jon in the peaks. Basically a semi circle of the Edale Skyline. Sunny day, very enjoyable, moving well for the most part, and maintained a run all the way up to Hollins Cross, and Mam Tor (about 250m climb in a couple of miles) and back over to the car park.

Running 45:00 [3] 6.2 mi (7:15 / mi) +100m 6:55 / mi

Steady around East Keswick, Bardsey, etc. Glorious evening. Got as far as removing the t shirt, which reminded me of marathon training last year.

I probably should have done more, but I was tired after last night's track, got a big (ish) weekend planned, and it's Friday. Excussimo

Running 30:00 [2] 3.5 mi (8:34 / mi)

A bit late up to the track tonight, so missed the drills.

Running intervals 35:00 [5] 5.5 mi (6:22 / mi)

Pyramid session. 1,2,3,4,5,5,4,3,2,1 minute efforts. All with just 30 second recovery, which seemed brutally short, and made it more like a sustained tempo effort.

I stayed with Rich P on the first half of the pyramid, but he pulled away on the second 5 minute rep, and I had no answer tonight. Either he had another gear, or I didn't have the same as last week. Potentially a bit of both, I certainly haven't been feeling too bouncy after a horrific 7 hour journey back from Aberdeen last night and very little sleep.

Anyway, another tough session done, focussing on my relatively weak speed endurance. Good.

Running 27:00 [3] 3.8 mi (7:06 / mi)

To avoid two days off in a row, I dragged myself wearily out of bed and trotted around Aberdeen, down to the river and back.

Running hills 10:00 [4] 1.2 mi (8:20 / mi)

There was a short, 50m or so incline just next to the hotel, so I did a few sprints up and down this, not working too hard, but getting a little more out of the session.
