Running 2:51:00 [3] 22.2 mi (7:42 / mi) +700m 7:01 / mi

Long run from Therfield Heath. Felt much better than a couple of weeks ago - more relaxed and felt stronger at the end. Not as many hills as would have been ideal, but worked with what I had. Had more left at the end.

Straight into McDonald’s drive through for a Big Mac after - unable to resist

Running 24:00 [2] 3.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Running 17:48 [4] 3.1 mi (5:45 / mi)

Back at my favourite Parkrun, Wimpole Estate. A nice off road one lapper between Royston and Cambridge.

Set off fairly fast but with one chap already pulling out a small gap. Got overtaken into 3rd but maintained contact and managed to muster a little sprint finish, and also dragged me along to a 15 second course PB.

Running 45:00 [3] 6.1 mi (7:23 / mi)

More steady running. Throat sore in the night, better in the day, doesn't seem to be causing too many issues really.

Running 40:00 [3] 5.5 mi (7:16 / mi)

Running around the village trying to help Caroline not fall off her new road bike and first experience of clip in pedals.

Felt shite at work but picked up and felt better by the end of this.

Running 29:00 [3] 3.5 mi (8:17 / mi)

Feeling a bit off still - very easy run to the gym.

Running 1:12:00 [4] 10.0 mi (7:12 / mi)

Pacey run on the Digley loop. Didn’t feel good and died on my arse on the climb up from the reservoir. Ben was full of beans and smashing all the climbs which didn’t help.

Shivering at the end - must be fighting something...will take care.

Running 38:00 [3] 5.4 mi (7:02 / mi)

Easy after work, feeling much better and ready to go again. Easier week last week maybe not so bad, and a telling adjustment that 48 miles felt ‘easy’
