Running 1:15:00 [3] 8.0 mi (9:22 / mi) +550m 7:43 / mi

Awoke around 8:30AM with bleary eyes and the taste of last night still with me. However, I was keen for an explore so shuffled out. Headed along Odda’s Dyke to the Devil’s Pulpet viewpoint, down to Brockweir, and then a fairly monumental road climb (800ft?) back to the bunkhouse. Felt better as it went on and enjoying it by the end.

Lynall Stag. Full day kayaking. Lots of ending up in the river. Might sneak out tomorrow morning for an explore of quantity of booze tonight allows it, and no one sees me.

Running 1:57:00 [3] 15.0 mi (7:48 / mi)

Pre loading the miles before the Lynall stag in the Forest of Dean this weekend. Taking running kit but not anticipating using it.

Run was okay, felt a bit sluggish and maybe didn’t choose the nicest route in hindsight.

Running 53:00 [4] 8.1 mi (6:33 / mi)

Progression run along the river in Derby. 6:10’s feeling hard at the end, but all good work

Running 1:02:00 [3] 7.0 mi (8:51 / mi)

Various steady club running plus the Parlauf races. Got knocked out early. It would seem churlish to blame my partner, but she was 8 years old and complained of a stitch.

Running 30:00 [3] 3.9 mi (7:42 / mi)

Running race 26:02 [4] 3.8 mi (6:51 / mi) +200m 5:53 / mi

Trunce. Bit criminal that I’ve never done it before, given it’s about 15 minute drive from the door, but somehow Monday night racing has never appealed.

It did tonight, my legs mostly fine from the 10K. It’s a great course and I should try and come again. I came 2nd tonight to Tom Saville, rather predictably, but I was pleased to be best of the rest. Followed most of the way round as I didn’t know the course, and then got a gap on the track return.
