Cycling 50:00 [3]
(injured)

Spin class...with glorious weather outside.

Went and bought a second hand road bike in the afternoon. I might not use it much, but at least it’ll keep me outside when injured.

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [1]

Cross trainer 51:00 [3]
(injured)

Watching Sloane Stephens capitulate

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [1]

Usual weights. Ok to walk on ankle now, but still swollen and bruised.

Running 45:00 [3] 5.1 mi (8:49 / mi)
(injured)

Super easy off road with the club. Calves still sore so opted for the Hokas, despite it being off road.

Unfortunately this resulted in a big old classic sprained ankle in Storthes Hall. Tried to limp it off but no dice. Hopefully settle down in a few days

Note
(rest day)

Got home, sat down...that was that. Legs ruined

Tuesday Jul 2, 2019 #

Running 14:00 [2] 1.7 mi (8:14 / mi)

Pacey warm up, barely moving warm down

Running race 58:48 [5] 10.0 mi (5:53 / mi) +250m 5:27 / mi

The ‘Club 10’ with Holmfirth. Previous best time 60:24 from 2017.

David showed up claiming ‘steady effort’. It had all the hallmarks of a sandbag, and so it proved, as he edged away from me after 3 miles and gradually increased the gap. However, I kept focussed and pushed hard to be rewarded with a PB on not exactly a fast course, which I’m pleased with.

I wore racing flats which has destroyed my legs, calves in particular. Perhaps best deployed on 10k or shorter.

Note
(rest day)

Taking a precautionary one after the weekend. Plenty of training to be had later in the week.
