Hiking 3:30:00 [3] 13.7 km (15:20 / km)

Decided to celebrate my first day with nothing to do with a nice hike somewhere that we had never really gone. We found a route in a book of local hikes that took us from the south end of Mundy Park down into Port Moody and back up into Coquitlam before ending at the eastern end of Burnaby Lake. It was a nice mix of residential neighbourhoods and forested trails. We celebrated our accomplishment with pizza. All in all, a pretty decent afternoon.

Orienteering 59:50 [3]

WET at Roche Point Park.
Had the classic situation of bringing o shoes because of the forested sections and then having to hear the clack clack of the shoes on the road running sections. Most of my navigation wiggles were weird arcs to avoid random people (and the trail that petered out leaving me in the dark green swamp for a bit).
Such a nice evening to be out. We brought a picnic to enjoy in the park afterwards.
I have finished just about all the course work for this term and don't start my final term until July 6th. It has been a long time since I have not had a bunch of things to do hanging over my head. Even during the early days of Corona when I didn't know what was going to happen with my practicum, I still felt that I could be called into action at any moment or that there were things that I really should be doing. I'm looking forward to remembering that I have hobbies.
